Jim Mather, California Karate Academy’s Chief Instructor, is Silicon Valley’s only authentic grandmaster in Karate. He has devoted over 40 years to perfecting and teaching the martial arts. He is one of only a handful of martial artists in the world to be awarded the title of Kyoshi, which is one of the highest titles in Karate.

In keeping with true Japanese martial arts tradition, his quest for physical mastery has gone hand-in-hand with his pursuit of intellectual excellence. The following are just a few of his many achievements:
